Hackers make headlines month after month.  Who works to protect your data at UNM?  Come meet the information security team during Security Days on Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 16-17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the SUB Atrium.

UNM’s Office of the Chief Information Officer invites students, faculty, staff, and community members are all invited to attend.

Cybersecurity is the mechanism that maximizes our ability to grow commerce, communications, community and content in a connected world. No individual, business, or government entity is solely responsible for securing the Internet.

Everyone has a role to play in cybersecurity. Constantly changing threats to personal privacy and information require the engagement of the entire campus – from staff, faculty, and most importantly, the largest group of technology users on campus, the students.

Security Days is a student oriented event covering topics like Social Media security, personal privacy, and mobile device security. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the current information technology and security landscape at UNM and around the world-- from securing your personal data to institutional security practices and how they relate to you.
