This month’s free financial wellness session titled, “Why Do You Need an Estate Plan?” is hosted by TIAA Wealth Management Consultant Denise Lambert. The event is open to UNM faculty, staff and retirees.

The session will take place on the main campus on Thursday, Jan. 25 from noon to 1 p.m. in the UNM Business Center, EOD 1018.

On Friday, Jan. 26, the session will be from noon to 1 p.m. at the North Campus HSLIC Library, room 428. Both sessions will be available through skype or webcast, which can be accessed through the online flyer or the UNMHR website.

The goal of the session is to assist individuals in learning more about creating or updating a will, assest ownership, beneficiary designations and providing take away questions for an attorney to create an effect estate plan.

Attendees will become familiar with the basic documents needed for their plan, they will know what health care and financial decisions need to be made if one becomes incapacitated along with being able to evaluate the potential for estate taxes.

For those who register for the event through the webpage, a complimentary lunch will be provided.

The event is sponsored by UNM Benefits.
