Beginning Saturday, April 30, Johnson Center and the Armond Seidler Natatorium will end open recreation hours on weekends. The change impacts open recreation, but does not affect special events such as convocations, swim meets, basketball tournaments, Lobo League Volleyball and or use by Lobo Aquatics. The Center will be open the weekends of April 30 and May 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Physical Education and Recreational Services fitness classes only.

"The change is necessary to incorporate cost savings," says Roger Wrolstad, Director, Recreational Services. "By closing on the weekends, our department saves money on the student labor it hires as gym attendants and lifeguards on the weekends.
