Who can move 2,000 residents into their new homes in two days? Residence Life & Student Housing can with your assistance. Residence Life & Student Housing is requesting help with its third annual Operation: Lobo Move-in volunteer event. Last year more than 200 UNM faculty, staff and student organization members volunteered to unload and carry residents' belongings to their new homes.

"Moving is a big challenge that our residents' face. You can make a huge difference simply by carrying a few things up a few stairs," said Ruth Stoddard, associate director, Residence Life & Student Housing.

Operation: Lobo Move-in is an opportunity to welcome incoming students.

"Operation: Lobo Move-in is an amazing opportunity for our residents to meet active members of the university, as well as learn about some of the great student organizations on our campus," said Marlene Smith, student president of the Residence Hall Association.

Operation: Lobo Move-in is Thursday-Friday, Aug. 16-17. All volunteers receive a free Operation: Lobo Move-in t-shirt.
