KNME is beginning its pledge drive with a variety of special programming starting June 3 through June 12 on channel 5.1. Additional specials and series premieres begin after the pledge drive.

The programs are as follows:
Carol Burnett’s Favorite Sketches
Join Carol Burnett for her personally selected favorite moments from her long-running comedy series, including sketches from the first five years of the show not seen in decades. The program will air Friday, June 3 at 9 p.m., Wednesday, June 8 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, June 12 at 2 p.m. on channel 5.1.
Stronger Bones, Longer Life
Discover why healthy bones are they key to remaining mobile, engaged, and independent. Bone health expert Lani Simpson guides viewers in understanding how to keep their bones strong and prevent or lessen the impact of osteoporosis. The program will air Saturday, June 4 at 6 a.m., Tuesday, June 7 at 8 p.m., and Saturday, June 11 at 9 a.m. on channel 5.1. Additionally, the program will air on Thursday, June 9 at 7 p.m. on channel 9.1.
The Highwaymen Live at Nassau Colosseum
Join Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristofferson – “the Mt. Rushmore of country music” – for this live concert recorded in 1990. The Highwaymen perform classics like “Big River,” “Me and Bobby McGee,” and “Always on My Mind.” The program will air on Saturday, June 4 at 8:30 p.m., Monday, June 6 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, June 12 at 3:30 p.m. on channel 5.1. The show will also air on Friday, June 10 at 7 p.m. on channel 9.1.
Rhythm and Blues 40: A Soul Spectacular
Celebrate legends of the 60s and 70s brought together in a once-in-a-lifetime concert. The show will feature great artists such as Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Ben E. King and the Drifters, Dionne Warwick, the Isley Brothers, Percy Sledge, Little Anthony & the Imperials, and much more. The show will air on Sunday, June 5 at 6 p.m. andThursday, June 9 at 7 p.m. on channel 5.1. The show will also air on Monday, June 6 at 9 p.m. on channel 9.1.
Great Performances: Joan Baez 75th Birthday Celebration
Celebrate Joan Baez’ birthday with guests David Bromberg, Jackson Browne, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Judy Collins, David Crosby, Emmylou Harris, Indigo Girls, Damien Rice, Mavis Staples, Nano Stern, Richard Thompson and Paul Simon. The show will air on Monday, June 6 at 8:30 p.m. on channel 5.1 and Friday, June 10 at 8:30 p.m. on channel 9.1.
The Kingston Trio Celebration
Enjoy the groundbreaking folk group’s biggest hits and more 1950s and ’60s chart toppers, performed by the current trio with Bob Shane, Timothy B. Schmit (EAGLES), Al Jardine (BEACH BOYS), Trini Lopez, Barry McGuire, Sana Christian, The Limeliters and Josh Reynolds. The show will air on Wednesday, June 8 at 8:30 p.m. on 5.1.

Best of Big Blue Live
Join scientists, animal behaviorists and other experts in Monterey Bay, Calif., to view its once endangered, now thriving, ecosystem, where nature’s most charismatic marine creatures gather to feed on an abundance of food. The show will air Wednesday, June 15 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 19 at 9 a.m. on channel 5.1. Additionally, the show will air on Saturday, June 18 at 7 p.m. on channel 9.1.
Midsomer Mysteries (U.K. Series Premiere)
Sgt. Troy (Daniel Casey) wins a promotion to inspector but before he can decide on his future, the Midsomer canal tunnel collapses during a restoration project, revealing ancient human bones with a recent skeleton hidden among them. As Barnaby investigates, Troy is sent to the woods near Midsomer Worthy, where Tom (David Bradley - "Argus Filch" in Harry Potter), has been attacked by a group of youths. Then one of the teenagers is caught in a man trap and shot dead. Is Tom responsible? This episode features Henry Cavil (Man of Steel). The show airs on Thursdays, starting June 16 at 9 p.m. on channel 5.1 and Wednesdays starting June 22 on channel 9.1.

The Kate (Music Series Premiere)
This new national music series, infused with the essence of the unabashed, spirited Katharine Hepburn. Featured Guests include: Ann Wilson (Heart) , Rickie Lee Jones, and former Saturday Night Live star Ana Gasteyer (whose father was the Mayor of Corrales, NM), British song interpreter Barb Jungr and Broadway star Jarrod Spector. Insightful interviews with the performers open each episode, taped live at THE KATE - The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, an intimate 250-seat venue in Old Saybrook, Conn. The show will air on Fridays starting on June 17 at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. on channel 5.1.
Luther (U.K. Series Premiere)
DCI John Luther (Idris Elba, Golden Globe Award-Winner, Best Actor; Odds on U.K. Favorite to be the next James Bond) returns to work after being on leave, following the traumatic arrest of the serial killer Henry Madsen. Luther's first case is investigating the murder of the parents of child genius, Alice Morgan. He quickly deduces that Alice is responsible for the deaths, but the seemingly perfect crime leaves no evidence with which to convict her. The show airs on Saturdays starting on June 18 at 9 p.m. on channel 5.1.
