Join KNME-TV on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 6 – 9 p.m., for an opportunity to meet noted PBS journalist and author Gwen Ifill at the African American Performing Arts Center at Expo New Mexico. Ifill is the moderator and managing editor of Washington Week and senior correspondent for the PBS Newshour. She is also the author of "The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama."

Ifill will host an open conversation with the audience about the fallout from the mid-term elections (four short days after mid-term elections take place), the state of journalism today and highlights from her career.

Two ticket levels exist for the event: VIP reception at $50 per person (includes hors d'oeuvres, private meet and greet, and VIP seating at the conversation) and conversation admission at $20 per person.

The evening winds down with a book signing for "The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama," provided by the UNM Bookstore.
