Landscapes: Near & Far, an exhibition of pastel paintings by Sally Prince and Helen Lucero now on exhibit at The University of New Mexico Hospital Jonathan Abrams MD Art Gallery. A public reception for the artists is set for Friday, July 8 from 4 to 6 p.m. The exhibit is on display through Aug. 12, 2016.

Prince is a native of Minnesota who is familiar with beautiful scenery and extreme climate changes. She spent most of her life in Minneapolis where she attended the Minneapolis College of Art and Design for Graphic Design. She also took several art related classes at Hennepin Technical College for lettering and drafting. 

Born and raised in northern New Mexico. Lucero served as curator of Hispanic Folk Art at the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe. Curator of Latino Art at the National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution. She is also the co-author of Chimayó weaving : the transformation of a tradition.

The gallery is located on the Fifth Floor of the Ambulatory Care Center (5ACC). Regular gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., weekdays.
