Hello.

In this last week before your winter break, the Office of Government and Community Relations is able to give you a preview of how we will be tracking bills during the 2013 legislative session.

Legislators have begun to pre-file some of the bills they will introduce during the session and will do so until just before the 2013 session begins.  We will let you know about the bills of interest to UNM, the HSC, HR and Retirement, Budgets, etc.   You will then be able to track the bills as they progress through the session, courtesy of the OGCR Bill Tracker which is now up, running and maintained by Meredith Heredia Griego.  Just go to the OGCR website at www.govrel.unm.edu.

Here are some of today's pre-filed bills, including SB 11, which is our graduate students' bill seeking a tax credit for employers who hire NM masters and Ph.d grads in the STEHM fields.
