Whether it’s the Western classics from the 1950s or modern productions like “Breaking Bad,” New Mexico has been a hot spot for film and television for years. Now, University of New Mexico Distinguished Professor of History Paul Hutton is putting the industry front and center in a new exhibit at the Albuquerque Museum.

“Hollywood Southwest: New Mexico in Film and Television” features three components of the Land of Enchantment’s film history: the state as a location, the state as a subject and the state’s people as subjects.

This enlightening exhibit will run through Aug. 27 at the Albuquerque Museum, located at 2000 Mountain Road NW.
