The Alumni Association at the University of New Mexico hosts a Lobo Living Room Event” An Evening with Anne Hillerman” on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. in the Alumni Center at Hodgin Hall. The event will include excerpts from her new book “Spider Woman’s Daughter,” photos of the landscape that inspired her writings and anecdotes about her father and how he inspired her career.

Anne, the daughter of author Tony Hillerman, has revived her father’s classic mystery novel series set in Arizona and New Mexico, continuing the exploits of two Navajo Indian policemen Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee.

The UNM Alumni Association sponsors the Lobo Living Room to provide opportunities for alumni and other friends of the university to stay connected through lectures, demonstrations or performances with notable alumni and faculty.

A reception will follow the event. Parking is available in the lot east of Hodgin Hall, as well as “B” lot at Central and University. Those interested must RSVP by Tuesday, Nov. 12 by visiting www.unmalumni.com/lobolivingroom or by calling (505) 277-5808.
