The University of New Mexico hosts the LoboPerks Vendor Fair on Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 27-28 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. On Monday, the fair will be held in the SUB atrium, and on Tuesday, the fair will be held on north campus in the Domenici Center lobby.
The UNM LoboPerks program is a partnership between the LoboCard Office and vendors around Albuquerque and beyond designed to bring discounted goods and services to the attention of the campus community.
Carolyn Hartley, manager of I.D. Card Services said, “The LoboCard Office is proud to manage the LoboPerks program and is excited that this will be our first year to host a Vendor Fair in each semester. We launched the program in 2011 with 19 vendors and now have over 180, both local and online, who offer a variety of goods and services to the Lobo Nation. From banking services, to fitness centers, to a drive-in wedding chapel, we are adding new vendors on a weekly basis. We believe the program’s value to the UNM community will only increase over time.”
For UNM students, Jiffy Lube offers free car inspections with a 15 percent discount on all needed repairs. The discount is extended to UNM staff, faculty and alumni as well.
“I’m a mother,” said Angi Gonzales Carver, president of the Parent Association. “If my kids were traveling somewhere I’d want them to take advantage of this good deal. It’s one less worry.”
Get your vendor fair card stamped by 10 vendors to qualify for the raffle. Cards will be available at each vendor’s table so that no matter where an attendee goes first, they can get a card and start the process.
There will be a lot of prizes donated by LoboPerks vendors. Attendance is not required to win. Meet vendors who offer discounts all year long for being part of UNM.
