This week, New Mexico in Focus takes a look at the Albuquerque mayoral race as the election nears.
NMiF regularly airs Fridays at 7 p.m. and repeats Sundays at 7 a.m. on Channel 5.1 and Saturdays at 5 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. on Channel 9.1, except during pledge drives.
New Mexico in Focus – August 25-27
- New Mexico PBS and the criminal section of the New Mexico Bar Association held a forum for candidates vying to be the next mayor of Albuquerque. They answered questions about behavioral health services, economic development and the Albuquerque Rapid Transit project. They also addressed many issues on crime and public safety.
- NMiF host Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists debate some of the top stories in news headlines this week, including how opponents of Albuquerque’s proposed sick leave ordinance are now taking to their battle to the New Mexico Supreme Court. They also discuss concerns over accreditation at The University of New Mexico, and look at how the Duke City’s mayoral race is shaping up.
