The UNM Department of Music presents, "Masters of Mexican Nationalism" featuring pianist Cesar Reyes on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. in Keller Hall in the UNM Center for the Arts. The presentation is part of the Latin American Concert and Speaker Series coordinated at UNM by Assistant Professor of Music Jose Luis Hurtado. Tickets are $10 for general admission; $8 for seniors; and $6 for students.
Mexican Pianist and Musicologist Cesar Reyes is one of the leading performers of Latin American Music in the United States. An active member of the Society for American Music, he has presented lecture-recitals on the piano music of Mexico in the most prestigious conferences of the United States and Europe, including important halls such us Carnegie Hall in the United States and the Palacio de Bellas Artes and the Centro Nacional de las Artes in Mexico City.
