This week on New Mexico in Focus, author Brian Christian discusses his role in a contest designed to test how real a computer's artificial intelligence program seems to a panel of human judges. In addition, panelists will discuss what computers, capable of mimicking human behavior, can teach us about ourselves.
Also this week, panelists discuss a wide range of issues, including the problems found in the southern New Mexican city Sunland Park, the recent legislative retirements and redistricting and how New Mexico intends to keep its brightest undergrads in state universities.
KNME's one hour public affairs show New Mexico in Focus airs this Friday at 7 p.m. Due to the pledge drive this week, the show will not air on Saturday or Sunday as usual.
