This week on New Mexico in Focus, correspondent Tara Gatewood, host of the nationally syndicated radio program "Native America Calling," leads a conversation with students who have met the demands of being a Native American high school student. This conversation is part of the ongoing American Graduate series, which highlights solutions to the state's dropout crisis.
New Mexico PBS' one hour public affairs show New Mexico in Focus airs Fridays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 7 a.m. on Channel 5.1. The show can also be seen on New Mexico PBS Channel 9.1 on Saturdays at 5 p.m.
Also this week, panelists discuss a proposed fix to financially unstable public retirement programs and look at upcoming votes to elect leaders among legislators for the next session.
