This week on New Mexico in Focus, panelists discuss leadership changes for both Republicans and Democrats statewide, with Sen. Pete Campos being nominated for the vacancy as senate president, as well as new GOP party chair, John Billingsley.

New Mexico PBS' one hour public affairs show New Mexico in Focus airs Fridays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 7 a.m. on Channel 5.1. The show can also be seen on New Mexico PBS Channel 9.1 on Saturdays at 5 p.m.

Also this week, the panel takes a look at Mayor Richard Berry's appointment of Roxanna Meyers to replace city councilor Debbie O'Malley and it what it means for the future, as well as an examination of the Native American Community Academy and its impacts.
