This week, New Mexico in Focus honors Black History Month with noted African American commentator and cook Vertamae Grosvenor. Born in 1938, Grosvenor has tracked African American culture through the civil rights movement to an award-winning series for NPR: "AIDS and Black America."
KNME's one hour public affairs show New Mexico in Focus airs Fridays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 6:30 a.m. on Channel 5.1. The show can also be seen on KNME's Digital Channel 9.1 on Saturdays at 5 p.m.
The Line continues its look at the 2012 regular legislative session, following progress of the driver's license debate, the budget, ethics and education reform.
Plus, the panel sounds off on the controversial comments of Albuquerque pastor Steve Smothermon regarding openly gay PRC Commissioner Doug Howe.
