This week on New Mexico in Focus, an interview with investigative journalist Eric Schlosser about his newest book, "Command and Control: Nuclear Weapons, the Damascus Accident and the Illusion of Safety," which explores the country's nuclear arsenal. Schlosser is well known for his book "Fast Food Nation," which exposed the dark side of food in America.
New Mexico in Focus airs Friday night at 7 p.m. on Channel 5.1 and appears online at NMiF shortly thereafter. The show rebroadacsts Saturday at 5 p.m. on Channel 9.1 and again on Sunday at 7 a.m. on Channel 5.1.
Also this week, Megan Kamerick speaks with author Steve Kohlhagen about his book "Where They Bury You," which is about the provost marshal of Santa Fe who was found with unusually large amounts of money in his saddlebags when he died under suspicious circumstances, the Line looks at the competing budget proposals issued this week by Gov. Susana Martinez and the Legislative Finance Committee explores the possible impacts on the state from legalization of recreational marijuana in Colorado.
