New Mexico in Focus looks at the role of the media in helping to create public discourse with two journalism icons: former ABC anchor and correspondent, Sam Donaldson, and ABC and NPR news analyst Cokie Roberts talking about everything from the apparent death of bipartisanship to the changing media landscape.
KNME's one hour public affairs show New Mexico in Focus airs Fridays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 6:30 a.m. on KNME, Channel 5.1. The show can also be seen on KNME's Digital Channel 9.1 on Saturdays at 5 p.m.
Plus, he was dubbed the "most dangerous man in America" by former CIA boss Henry Kissinger. Daniel Ellsberg changed the face of media during the Vietnam War, by leaking the "Pentagon Papers" to several media outlets. Ellsberg talks with host Gene Grant and UNM journalism students about balancing national security with government transparency, plus why his experience may have even more relevance today.
