The University of New Mexico hosts Pathways Out of Poverty: The Heart of Community Action on Wednesday through Friday, Sept. 16-18 at the UNM Continuing Education Conference Center.

David Bradley is the conference’s opening speaker on Sept.16 at 1:30 p.m. Bradley is one of Washington’s leading advocates on behalf of low-income programs. He helped found the National Community Action Foundation (NCAF) in 1981.

New Mexico has the highest level of poverty in the nation, according to federal data. This statewide conference brings together organizations whose vision is to address the issues associated with poverty.
