The UNM community is invited to a poster presentation and Q & A session concerning a proposal to build a new Wellness & Recreation Center on campus, Monday, Nov. 11 or Tuesday, Nov. 12 in the SUB, main level, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Staff and students will be available to answer questions and solicit ideas regarding what features would best be suited to a new Wellness and Recreation Center.
A planning group has been working over the last several years to explore the possibility of building a new wellness center on campus, including consideration of campus constituency support and financial feasibility. The proposed wellness center has the potential to be a vital new facility that provides easy access to health and wellness resources for the entire UNM community. The open forum discussions, sponsored in part by ASUNM and GPSA, will contribute directly to the efforts of the planning group as they seek to create a proposal that meets the needs of the community.
