Not even snowfall in Santa Fe could cool down Lobo spirit during UNM Day ay the State Capitol. The University takes this opportunity to showcase its people and programs to the Roundhouse crowd. Exhibits lined the Halls of History on either side of the Rotunda, while scores of UNM folks took the opportunity to visit with their legislators and watch state government in action.

President Frank was introduced in both houses along with Graduate Dean Julie Coonrod, Architecture Dean Geraldine Forbes Isais, Athletics VP Paul Krebs, Dr. Jess Benson from the NM Poison Control and Drug Information Center, and students Dallas Bollema and Yeshemabet Turner. My apologies if I've left anyone out.

It's a hectic day but one filled with fun and excitement. Thanks to everyone who made it possible and to everyone who took the time to journey to Santa Fe on behalf of UNM. A special shout-out to the UNM Alumni Association who hosted lawmakers last night at their annual Appreciation reception. Our appreciation goes to our alums who work hard for UNM during the session and year round.

Senate Finance is scheduled to hear from higher ed this afternoon. We hope to have a report later.
