This week on New Mexico in Focus, climatologist and UNM professor David Gutzler discusses this year's outlook for water in New Mexico.

The program airs Friday nights at 7 p.m. on channel 5.1 and appears online on the NMiF website shortly thereafter. The show rebroadcasts Saturday at 5 p.m. on channel 9.1 and again on Sunday at 7 a.m. on channel 5.1.

The Albuquerque Journal recently reported on the man accused of killing a Rio Rancho police officer and discuss the nature and ethics of his release from prison after serving only a two year sentence for killing another man a decade ago.
