This week on New Mexico in Focus, Correspondent Megan Kamerick talks with three New Mexico women about efforts to correct the gender imbalance in technology and get more women and girls interested in coding and STEM-related fields.

Also, Native Americans have high rates of diabetes and obesity, which links to other health concerns, such as cancer and heart disease.  In this month’s installment of NMiF’s “Reconnecting with a Healthy Lifestyle” series, correspondent Antonia Gonzales visits communities in New Mexico and Arizona, on different areas of the vast Navajo Nation, to learn how some Native Americans are overcoming systemic challenges that affect their well-being.

Additionally, NMiF host Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists take on some of the top news stories of the week, including the results of the Albuquerque Municipal Election held this week and reactions to the horrific massacre in Las Vegas, Nev.
