In light of the recent articles in Rolling Stone and the New Yorker concerning the fatal shootings by Albuquerque Police Department officers, New Mexico in Focus debates whether or not national attention could alter the local controversy over reforms within APD. Bernalillo County District Attorney, Kari Brandenburg shares her perspective on the current relationship between APD and her office.

The program airs Friday nights at 7 p.m. on channel 5.1 and appears online on the NMiF website shortly thereafter. The show rebroadcasts Saturday at 5 p.m. on channel 9.1 and again on Sunday at 7 a.m. on channel 5.1.

The Line also examines right to work legislation, the release of a controversial audit in 2013 of behavioral health providers in New Mexico and checks on legislation that aims to cap interest rates for short term loans, such as title loans.
