This week on New Mexico in Focus, correspondent Khalil Ekulona sits down with UNM men’s soccer head coach Jeremy Fishbein. Fishbein talks in depth about what this past season was like for him and his players after the UNM Board of Regents voted to cut his program after this year. He also talks about the possibility the program may still be revived with help from renewed support from the legislature and Governor-elect Michelle Lujan Grisham.
Also this week, Gene Grant and a special Line opinion panel of local journalists look back at the year that was. Over the next two weeks, they will count down the top stories of 2018, starting this week with numbers 10 through 6. The group rounds out the top ten list next week on New Mexico in Focus, airing Friday, Dec. 28.
