The University of New Mexico Communication & Journalism Department presents, "No Place Like Martineztown," a documentary by C&J's Adan Garcia, operations manager and part time faculty; and Judith McIntosh White, associate professor, on Friday, March 20 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in C&J 119. The event is free and open to the public.

Built by people with values steeped in faith, Martineztown began as a getaway in the 1800s, only later to become a hidden suburb in an ever-sprawling Albuquerque cityscape. San Ignacio and Second Presbyterian Church are two historical congregations that have been in Martineztown for over a century and have had a big impact on this community. Together they unite to help Martineztown survive in an ever-changing world.

Garcia, the documentary's producer/director; and White, the executive producer will lead a discussion following the screening.
