The University of New Mexico’s Office of the Chief Information Officer, which recently hosted Tech Days 2017, now has many of the presentations given during the two-day event, available online or for download in various formats.

“UNM Tech Days is an annual event facilitated by the Office of the CIO that offers the University’s faculty, staff and students an exclusive opportunity to learn about technologies on campus,” said Chief Information Officer Duane Arruti. “In addition to the presentation material for all of the 2017 Tech Days offerings, you will also have access for the first time to video recordings of the most popular sessions.”

Four sessions of note during Tech Days 2017 included: Banner 9, Chrome River (requires authentication; request from IT), What’s in Your Waffle and UNMJobs 2.0.

  • Banner 9 provides an overview of administrative and self-service applications.

  • Chrome River offers PCard reconciliation and expense reimbursement system. Chrome River’s design and features are emphasized in the presentation as well as how to successfully translate them into Banner Finance processes.

  • What’s in Your Waffle provides best practices for working in the Cloud, Skype, OneNote and digital linking.

  • UNMJobs 2.0 video provides training and questions answered about the new applicant tracking system.

The files, which are in various formats including text, PDF, PowerPoint and video, can be found at TechDays.unm.edu.

“On-demand access is a great way for those who could not attend, or were busy attending concurrent sessions, to explore the valuable information presented by our experts. We hope you find this material useful,” said Arruti.

This year’s event was made possible through the generous sponsorship by UNM technology vendors of over $18,000.

Tech Days 2018 will be held June 7 -8.
