The Office of the Provost is seeking applications and nominations for the position of University Secretary. The University Secretary (US) oversees the office and directs support for the multiple faculty governing bodies for the entire academic enterprise that includes main, health sciences and four branch campuses.
The US also provides direct support and advice to faculty regarding policies, procedures and regulations including research and interpretation of faculty policy issues and implications. The US also oversees and coordinates all official university ceremonial events which currently include four commencement and one freshman convocation ceremony annually.
Additional responsibility includes oversight and provision of multiple survey tools for a variety of academic needs. The US maintains the official university seal and furnishes authenticated university documents.
