UNM Parking & Transportation Services (PATS) announces a new half-hour rate option for paid parking on campus. Starting on Monday, Aug. 10, customers will now be able to pay for parking by the half-hour at the rate of $1.00/half-hour (instead of the current rate of 1 hour for $1.75).
Customers can select up to a maximum of eight hours of parking, in 30 minute increments.
This change has been implemented at the request from customers, who overwhelmingly supported the change in surveys conducted across campus. By offering a half-hour rate, PATS hopes to provide greater flexibility to those utilizing pay stations on campus, and ultimately, to reduce the number of citations issued for expired meters.
