The UNM Physical Plant Department (PPD) hosts its fall building coordinator meeting Wednesday, Nov. 5 from 9 – 10:30 a.m. in the Bobo Room at Hodgin Hall. Topics for the fall meeting include recycling, pest management procedures and energy conservation topics.
Building coordinators are tasked with many responsibilities. These meetings are designed to educate on a variety of facilities-related topics such as recognizing safety hazards in their buildings and reporting them appropriately, distributing important building information to occupants, inform building occupants and who to call when problems arise, and point-of-contact for facilities personnel.
PPD began hosting the meetings last year in an effort to educate a variety of staff on facility management. The meetings have turned out to be popular wtih an average of more than 100 building coordinators attending. UNM has over 400 buildings and PPD’s goal is to capture more representation from each building on campus.
