Physical Plant Department (PPD) arborists have announced an open invitation to the campus community to participate in a series of tree plantings to commemorate Earth Day and National Arbor Day. Learn about proper tree planting techniques and the varieties of trees found at The University of New Mexico. Deemed a national arboretum, the UNM Main Campus is home to over 5,000 trees with approximately 215 different species. Six new species will be added during the April plantings.
