The University of New Mexico President Garnett S. Stokes will be giving her State of the University address to update the community on current initiatives and future plans.
The address will be held on Thursday, Jan. 23, in SUB Ballroom C at 11 a.m. and light refreshments will be provided. Those who cannot join in person are invited to watch via livestream, which can be viewed on the President’s website.
“I believe a cornerstone of effective leadership is open communication,” Stokes said. “This is an opportunity for me to speak to our community on- and off-campus about the progress we’re making together, and my goals moving forward.”
This is the president’s second State of the University address. She will be discussing topics including the UNM Grand Challenges and other research and scholarship initiatives, upcoming facility and building improvements, campus safety, and student enrollment and retention.
