UNM Speech & Hearing Sciences and the Department of Special Education are proud to have hosted another year of its Project SCENES summer clinic.

SCENES, which stands for Social-Communication: Collaborating Early with Naturalistic Evidence-Based Supports, is a free, summer experience which takes place at the Speech & Hearing Sciences building for four weeks in June.

Graduate students join certified speech pathologists and special educators to play and learn with children ages 2 ½ to four. They gain experience, the parents gain tools and the children, diagnosed with autism, gain practice enhancing their social communication skills.
