Proof of a COVID-19 vaccine will be required for those attending the upcoming performance of Poet Laureate Joy Harjo for the Rudolfo and Patricia Anaya Lecture on the Literature of the Southwest at the National Hispanic Cultural Center on Tuesday, Oct. 5.
All ticketed patrons must show proof of a vaccination card, a photo or photocopy of the vaccination card, or a digital vaccination record dated at least 14 days prior to the event (Sept. 21, 2021). This policy falls in line with the university’s vaccine mandate and follows the guidelines set forth by the University Provost Office.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the lecture begins at 7 p.m. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early. Additionally, all patrons must wear a face mask or covering over the mouth and nose while inside and at all times following the New Mexico State mandate.
Verification stations will be set up outside the box office at the National Hispanic Cultural Center where ticketed patrons will present documentation before entering the Albuquerque Journal Theater.
Those who cannot present this documentation but who still wish to enjoy Joy Harjo speak may tune in to our Anaya Lecture YouTube Channel for a livestream of the event.
