University of New Mexico Students for Justice in Palestine present political scientist, activist and author Norman Finkelstein, Monday, Dec. 5, in the Student Union Building, Ballrooms A and B, from 5:45 - 7 p.m. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. Finkelstein will speak about the occupation of Palestine and other developments regarding Palestine's prospects for statehood and peace.
Finkelstein received his doctorate in 1988 from the Department of Politics at Princeton University. He taught political theory at DePaul University Chicago, and has written and spoken publicly on the Israel-Palestine conflict. He is the author of six books that have been translated into more than 40 foreign editions. He currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
