The Latin American & Iberian Institute invites faculty, students, staff and community members for its First Annual Reception to Honor our Affiliated Faculty, on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 4 - 5 p.m. at the LAII, located at 801 Yale Blvd. NE on the UNM campus. This year's honorees are recognized for books published in 2013.
Nearly 200 faculty members from 15 departments and 7 schools/colleges across campus are affiliated with the LAII. The breadth of research and teaching of these affiliated faculty members reinforces the LAII's mission to create a stimulating environment for the production and dissemination of knowledge of Latin America and Iberia at UNM.
To recognize this expertise, the LAII inaugurates a tradition of hosting an annual reception to honor faculty who published books in the previous year. We encourage all to attend this public event to learn more about the scholarship happening at UNM.
The following faculty are honorees for 2013 publications:
Anthony Cárdenas-Rotunno (editor): Heroes and Anti-heroes: A Celebration of the Cid
