The student dorm buildings Santa Clara, Laguna and DeVargas (SCLDV) are hosting a record painting event as a way for students to relieve election day stress and practice their artistic abilities.
Students from anywhere on campus are welcome to join the evening of Nov. 3. Student leaders from the SCLDV Community Association board will be in charge of the event, which will take place at 8:30 p.m. in the Laguna DeVargas courtyard.
This event will be led by Joseph Romero, who is the Santa Clara Residence Hall Association Representative. Anyone who wants to attend will first meet on Zoom to be directed to their materials. The Zoom code is 985 9369 9259.
Other Community Association groups are not hosting an event this week because of the election, but the SCLDV board wanted to host a stress-free event for students who are feeling overwhelmed.
Each student in attendance will be provided with a record, paint and paintbrushes to use for whatever the student chooses.
The SCLDV Community Association plans weekly events for students to participate in. The goal of the board is to get students to meet each other in a safe way during this pandemic.
Past events have included an Among Us game night, a movie night, and a safe sex and healthy relationship seminar. Future events will be planned in a board meeting next Tuesday. Every event takes place Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m.
More information will be sent to SCLDV students through email and the Remind app.
