This week's guest on "Report from Santa Fe" is Nicholas Kristof, a New York Times columnist and author of Half the Sky.  This best-selling book has been named one of the Washington Post's "Ten Best Books of the Year," and is a passionate call to arms against the oppression of women around the globe.

Kristof discusses his best-selling book as well as inspiring stories of extraordinary women.  The book is a call to arms against female oppression, abuse and illiteracy. He considers the most effective way to fight global poverty is to unleash the potential of women. The book also offers an uplifting do-it-yourself tool kit for those who want to help.

Hosted by veteran journalist and interviewer, Lorene Mills, Report from Santa Fe brings the best controversial, famous and emergent minds and voices of the day to a weekly audience that spans the state of New Mexico and has served as a window on what makes Santa Fe and the state of New Mexico truly unique.
