The Latin American & Iberian Institute is a co-sponsor of the 58th Annual Conference of the Rocky Mountain Council for Latin American Studies (RMCLAS), Wednesday-Saturday, April 6-9, in Santa Fe.
The RMCLAS program offers panel and paper presentations on general topics in Latin American Studies. The conference features presentations from all disciplines including anthropology, archaeology, art history, cultural studies, economics, environmental studies, ethnomusicology, film studies, gender studies, history, linguistics, literature, political science, and sociology.

RMCLAS is the oldest Latin American academic organization in the world and was originally formed in 1953 at UNM. Each year the annual RMCLAS conference draws Latin Americanist faculty, students, and scholars from across the world to share research.
