The University of New Mexico’s Recreational Services is hosting a clinic that just might save your life. Getaway Adventures will teach you all the basics in the course, Shelter and Survival 101 on Sunday, March 5 in the Sandia Mountains.

Attendees will learn how to learn how to build temporary shelters, fires without matches, signaling techniques and other basic survival skills in a search and rescue situation in the wilderness. If you enjoy getting outdoors and exploring, then this one day clinic is for you.

The cost is $28 for UNM students, $38 for all others. UNM’s tuition remission benefit is available. For the tuition remission benefit, email lmont@unm.edu your completed form.

Sign up at Recreational Services room 1102 in Johnson Center or online at recservices.unm.edu.
