Professor Virginia Shipman, a longstanding faculty member in the College of Education (COE) at the University of New Mexico, recently announced her retirement at the end of the spring semester.
Faculty and staff in the COE host a reception Wednesday May 6 from 1 to 3 p.m. in The Center for Student Success, Travelstead Hall, to honor Shipman and celebrate her many accomplishments. Light refreshments will be served.
Shipman has had an impressive and noteworthy career at UNM particularly as a member of the Family Studies faculty in the Department of Individual, Family & Community Education.
