July is Staff Appreciation Month at UNM, and the kickoff event, a book exchange will open Tuesday morning, July 2 at three locations around campus.  The book exchange runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the SUB ballroom A on main campus, on North Campus Domenici West, Room 3010 and on South Campus SSSC, Room 1008.  Any staff member can go in, browse the exchange and take home as many books as they want.  Don’t forget to bring a book bag.

On Wednesday, July 10 a free Greg Johnston Summer Concert at the Honors Plaza east of the SUB on main campus will feature Dangerous Curves from noon to 1 p.m.  You can buy $5 grilled burgers or hot dogs with chips, drink & Dessert.

On Monday July 16, the Staff Council meeting from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. will feature the winner of the Jim Davis award in SUB Lobo A & B on main campus.

On Thursday, July 18, the free Loborrito breakfast for all staff members will be in SUB Ballrooms A, B and C on main campus.

Saturday, July 20th is the Staff Appreciation Picnic and Baseball Game from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Isotopes Park.  UNM Staff can pay $5 per ticket and receive hot dogs, chips and a water bottle.  There will be fireworks after the game, so please bring the entire family.

On July 26, there will be a staff reception and BBQ from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Faculty Staff Club at 1923 Los Lomas N.E. on main campus.  It’s a great chance to kick back and relax at the end of the week.

On July 31, there will be free ice cream from noon to 1 p.m. at Dominguez Plaza, just south of Zimmerman Library on main campus, in front of the Library on north campus and in the SSSC Lobby on south campus.

All members of the UNM staff are invited to the events, and you can sign up for door prizes at every event.  Staff Council says it is time to put some fun in your summer and attend as many events as you can. For more information check the Staff Council website.
