The UNM Staff Council hosts the monthly Brown Bag Lecture Series on Friday, Sept. 30 from noon until 1 p.m. at the Duck Pond. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch.

The presentation is titled “Walk about the Duck Pond, Talk about the Trees.” Physical Plant Arborist Bryan Suhr will talk about the 275 different types of trees around the Duck Pond.

Suhr is a second-generation arborist, an Albuquerque native and UNM Physical Plant Department employee. He is completing his twenty-first year caring for the campus trees. He is passionate about trees and their care.

On the last Friday of each month, UNM Staff Council invites a special guest to present an in-depth discussion on a particular topic, have a performance or teach something new. Topics include wellness, heart health, navigating social media, pet care issues, learning a new dance step and much more.
