The Division of Student Affairs recently honored employees who contribute to student success at its annual Louie awards ceremony held in the SUB ballroom. Accolades were offered to student and faculty employees who go above and beyond.  

The 2014 winners of the outstanding student service provider award are: James Perea, Health Sciences Library; Kate Krause, University and Honors College; Veronica Plaza, Office of Community Health; and Henry Villegas, Athletics.

Other singular honors were presented to:

Karrye Jones Pluviose, of the UNM Children's Campus won the Employee of the Year award.

Jesus Rodriguez, the College Enrichment Center, was awarded the Student Affairs Student Employee Award.

Nick Lockwood, Residence Life and Student Housing, was acknowledged with the Fellow of the Year award.

Jaen Ugalde, of the Community Engagement Center recieved the Student Community Service award.

Each award recipient was given a coveted golden Louie statue and other goodies.

The Student Affairs Fellows are responsible for coordinating the ceremony every year. Winners are selected based upon their service within the Division and their contributions to improving the lives of students at the University. The Outstanding Student Service Provider is a University-wide award open to anyone working at UNM.
