The University of New Mexico’s Center for Financial Capability hosts Get Financial [P]aid on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 3:30 p.m. to help students tackle the world of Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA.
Every year, millions of families submit an application for FAFSA aid. Based on annual income, students are eligible to receive federal, state college-sponsored grants, educational loans and work-study programs.
Students will be able to learn about FAFSA and how to tackle the long application process. Students will also be taught how to make themselves a successful scholarship applicant.
Students are encouraged to come hungry as the Center for Financial Capability will be serving Chick- Fil- A.
Upon attendance, every student is automatically entered to win a $100 scholarship.
Get Financial [P]aid will be in the Dean of Students conference room starting at 3:30 p.m.
