Graduateprograms.com compiled their first ever Top Graduate Programs according to students, raking the best graduate programs in the country in a variety of fields based solely on ratings and reviews from current and recent graduate studentsUNM is ranked sixth for its physical therapy program, 14th among biology programs, 18th for psychology and the graduate architecture program in the UNM School of Architecture and Planning made the list coming in at 24.

Program rankings, compiled using data gathered between Sept. 1, 2012 and Sept. 30, 2013, encompass reviews posted by more than 40,000 students participating in more than 1,300 graduate programs nationally. Ratings are based on a 1-10 scale, with 10 being the best.

For a given graduate program, rankings are determined by calculating the average score for each program based on 15 ranking categories. These scores are then compared across all ranked schools for that program and are translated into a final ranking for that graduate program. A given graduate program is not ranked until a minimum threshold of graduate student surveys is completed for that graduate program.
