The Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Authority has informed the University due to the ongoing water line project on Central, there will be a closure of the intersection of Central and Stanford—on the north side of Central, on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 8 and 9. Motorists can use Yale as a detour during this closure.
On Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Aug. 10-12 the intersection of Central and Yale—on the north side of Central, will also be closed. Motorists can use Stanford as a detour during this closure.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area during this time. If you commute to UNM using Central, allow for more time to get to your destination.
After crossing both intersections with pipeline, crews will install millings as temporary paving. The actual driveways across Yale and Stanford will be paved at a later date.
