Residence Life and Student Housing staff is preparing for a record number 2,442 dorm dwellers. They begin arriving Monday Aug. 16.

As part of the move-in process, the main sidewalk drive becomes a temporary parking lot as well as a single lane of one-way traffic. The entrance begins just off Redondo Drive near Santa Ana Hall and winds through the residential area past Hokona Hall, and exits behind Zimmerman Library, into a temporary parking lot as well as a single lane of one-way traffic. The flow of this one-way traffic is east to west. The lane does not allow two-way traffic as it does during normal business days.

Residence Life & Student Housing partners with UNM Parking and Transportation and Campus Safety to monitor this drive lane to prevent any accidents and assure adequate emergency vehicle access. The lane will be a one-way east to west from 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 16 through 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22.
