The UNM Accessibility Resource Center has announced a new job experience program to provide students with disabilities an opportunity for job training and work experience.

Candidates must be an active ARC UNM student currently enrolled in, and able to maintain, a six credit hour semester load. Selected candidates will be awarded a stipend, and assistance with internship opportunities or work in their field of study. Candidates will also be required to develop and follow an individual work plan, as well as meet monthly with an ARC Employment coach.

Awardees will be announced by Dec. 1, and students will be able to begin work on the first day of the 2011 spring semester.
